Alan and Pam have pastored for over 40 years and both share a passion for encouraging believers. They continue to work to encourage Christian workers, to glorify God and enjoy his presence, to proclaim biblical truth, to experience the transforming power of the Holy Spirit and to express their concern for the underprivileged.
Alan serves through a variety of organisations, he currently –
- is an advisor for OM MTI on relief and development matters along with taking staff retreats
- is a mentor for people, young and old, across a number of cultures and countries
- is a teacher on a range of topics
- is an ordained Pastor with the Baptist Churches of New Zealand
- is also an advisor for Sheltereach Australia. This is an organisation that provides emergency housing following natural disasters along with a more permanent type of housing.
At present Alan is teaching on a weekly basis for 2 hours through zoom, to a group of about 25 leaders and pastors in Uganda. He is particularly passionate about the ‘glory of God’ where we are His ambassadors. Part 1 consists of ten talks. He is open to teaching leaders in other countries as the Lord leads.
Pam works alongside Alan supporting ministry through
- teaching English as a second language
- providing mentoring for a range of people along with staff retreats
- working with women
